Easter
Fourth Sunday of Easter
Brothers and sisters,
How do we enter the Kingdom of God? Or, more accurately, how do we enter to join the community of God’s people?
In this Sunday’s gospel reading Jesus uses the image of a flock of sheep and the sheepfold. However, he does not claim to simply know the way into the sheepfold, he declares that he is the gate itself.
To be counted among the sheep of God’s flock is a great privilege, and to follow him and his voice is the way to fullness of life. Christ is not just some wise man who points the way, Jesus is the way, the truth and life itself.
Every blessing,
Fr Myles
Rector
