PARISH MASS
Our Parish mass is held at 9.30am every Sunday followed by biscuits, tea & cake.
Anyone can join, Christian or not, to embrace our long continuity of tradition, culture
and mingle with the Leigh-on-sea community.

The Ninth Sunday after Trinity
Dear brothers and sisters,
This Sunday St Luke relays to us some of Jesus’ most apocalyptic teaching. Jesus speaks of how his coming will bring division rather than harmony.
Of course, the ways of the Kingdom of God are peace, and Jesus is himself called ‘The Prince of Peace’. But the sad reality is that not everyone is willing to heed his call. Sadly, the gospel has its opponents today, as it always has had.
We Christians are called to be faithful, and to proclaim the Good News in word and deed. We pray for peace. But we must also accept that not everyone will respond peacefully in return.
