PARISH MASS
Our Parish mass is held at 9.30am every Sunday followed by biscuits, tea & cake.
Anyone can join, Christian or not, to embrace our long continuity of tradition, culture
and mingle with the Leigh-on-sea community.

Tenth Sunday after Trinity
Brothers and sisters,
This Sunday we recall St Peter’s great leap of faith. He stepped out of the boat and walked on the water to Jesus.
All the time Peter was focused on Christ he was able to walk like him upon the waves. But then we read ’When he noticed the strong wind, he became frightened, and began to sink.’
Fear is a key theme in this week’s gospel reading. Christ encourages us not to be afraid; instead we are to trust in him. If we can keep our eyes fixed on Jesus there is no need to be afraid – who knows, perhaps then we can even perform great miracles in his name.
