PARISH MASS
Our Parish mass is held at 9.30am every Sunday followed by biscuits, tea & cake.
Anyone can join, Christian or not, to embrace our long continuity of tradition, culture
and mingle with the Leigh-on-sea community.

The Feast of Christ the King
Brothers and Sisters,
The gospel truly inverts the expectations of this world. Crucifixion was a form of execution so painful and shameful that the first generations of Christians struggled to know how to depict Jesus’ death. How can it be that the moment of Christ’s victory would be the moment of his greatest humiliation?
In his victory, Christ our King was not merely nailed to the cross but enthroned upon it. Now he sits upon his heavenly throne still bearing the scars of his earthly suffering.
Christ is the King of all. His kingdom is not of this world, but his reign of justice, mercy and peace will no less transform the world as we know it.
