PARISH MASS
Our Parish mass is held at 9.30am every Sunday followed by biscuits, tea & cake.
Anyone can join, Christian or not, to embrace our long continuity of tradition, culture
and mingle with the Leigh-on-sea community.

Fourteenth Sunday after Trinity
Brothers & sisters,
How do we deal with disagreement and upset within our community? In our gospel reading this Sunday, Jesus encourages us to speak honestly with one-another; not gossiping behind one-another’s backs.
First, we must talk privately with them, not making a public spectacle, remembering that the aim is to be reconciled, not proven right!
If this does not meet with success, Jesus encourages us to take along another person who can corroborate our concerns. Again, this is not to shame the person at fault but to help them to see their error and so be reconciled.
In short, in an age of sound-bites, gotchas, cancellations and internet ‘pile-ons’, may we Christians disagree with grace. Above all, may we seek reconciliation rather than seeking to prove to the world that we were right.
