Eastertide

The Seventh Sunday of Easter

This week we are reminded of Christ’s wish that we “may all be one”.  This unity comes not through mere human affection but as a direct result of our union with God in Jesus Christ. It is by this divinely inspired unity that “the world  may know” God’s love for us and for all his creation.

Attached here is the service booklet for the 2025 Dunkirk Memorial Service.  This year we mark 85 years since that miraculous moment in history, the saving of so many servicemen from the beaches of northern France, made possible by the bravery of the crews of the ‘little ships’.  The sad loss of four of our local fishermen, Frank Osborne, Harry Osborne, Harry Noakes and Harold Graham Porter, on board the Renown is testament to this.

We do hope that you will be able to join us, in person or at home or work in prayer on this important annual anniversary.

Every blessing, Fr Myles, Rector
